Safeguard Rubberised Bitumen is a water-based, modified bitumen emulsion used to create a waterproof membrane. Apply a generous coat of Rubberised Bitumen
by brush or roller (0.25 litre/m2)
Bed the membrane into the wet coat, taking
care to remove all air pockets and crease
marks.
Overlaps must be a minimum of 50mm.Allow
to dry (3 hours, depending on conditions)
Second Coat
Apply a second f 0.25/m2 making sure that
the membrane is completely saturated, and
allow to dry for no less than 24 hours.
Final Coat
All areas exposed to direct sunlight should be
over coated with Bitumen Aluminium Paint, to
protect against ultraviolet attack.
