Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream

Get It Right the First Time

Dryzone eliminates rising damp in masonry walls.

The patented and BBA approved cream is simply injected into holes drilled along a horizontal mortar course.

Once cured, the high-performance active ingredient will provide a dampness barrier, making that mortar course into a new damp-proof course.

Assured Performance

Dryzone is the most rigorously tested and accredited damp-proofing cream on the market. It has been tested by numerous national and international testing houses:

Laboratory and field testing has also shown that Dryzone outperforms creams by competing manufacturers in walls with either low or high levels of moisture saturation.

Simple, Mess-Free Application

The cream comes in both 310 ml mastic cartridges, for isolated areas of damp, or 600 ml foil-wrapped sausages, for large or multiple jobs using the Dryzone Applicator Gun. No special powered pumps or solvent-based chemicals are required.

There is also a range of Dryzone System Tools to help application go smoothly, including the Dryzone Drillbit and Dryzone Hole Clearing Tool.

The Ultimate Rising Damp Renovation System

Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream is part of the Dryzone System for renovating internal walls suffering from rising damp. This means that it is fully compatible with both Dryzone Renovation Plasters and Dryzone Express Replastering. Full guidance to the use of Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream and the full system is available in the form of our guidebook, Rising Damp and its Control.

Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream Application Instructions

Step 1

Mark your drill bit to the appropriate depth for the wall you wish to treat. A Dryzone 12 mm Drill Bit is recommended for enhanced debris removal.

Step 2

Set your SDS drill to rotary hammer mode and attach the suitably marked drill bit. Identify the lowest horizontal mortar course that is accessible and continuous and at least 150 mm above the outside ground level. Drill holes to the full recommended depth, at regular 120 mm intervals along the wall. As the drill bit approaches the final 40 mm of the intended hole depth, make sure to reduce the pressure to avoid damage to the far side of the wall.

Step 3

Clear the debris from all the holes using the Dryzone Hole-Clearing Tool. Revisit each hole a few times to ensure they are as clear as possible. Then sweep the area clean of debris and dust.

Step 4

310 ml: Remove the sealed tip of the cartridge using the Dryzone® Rod Cutter or sharp cutter. 600 ml: Insert a 600 ml sausage into the aluminium barrel of the applicator gun.

Step 5

310 ml: Pull the plunger all the way back and insert the cartridge. Push the plunger back to lock in the cartridge. Screw on the blue nozzle and fit the clear delivery tube. 600 ml: Pierce the plastic casing of the sausage with a sharp knife to release the cream. Screw the nozzle assembly securely onto the aluminium barrel.

Step 6

310 ml: Pull the trigger a few more times until the cream appears in the clear delivery tube. 600 ml: Pull the trigger a few times until the cream appears from the opening of the metal delivery tube.

Step 7

Insert delivery tube of the applicator to the full depth of the pre-drilled hole. Squeeze the gun trigger and back-fill each hole fully with Dryzone Cream to within one centimetre of the hole opening.
